Research Assistant
by Andrea Mella
A Research Assistant is more often than not working on a temporary contract by a college or university for the reason of academic research. A research assistant regularly works on an assignment managed by one or more permanent academics who are accountable for managing the funds from which he or she is salaried. At the present times, most research assistants are rewarded to graduate assistants, especially those who labor towards a higher degree. Depending on the financial support, these actions normally last awaiting the conclusion of their degrees. In some universities the name research associate is used as an option of “assistant”, even if a research associate is more likely to have a doctorate.
